Spiritual Awakening

How does the urge to become more spiritual begin? Are there needs that make themselves felt in the way we respond to events and people? Does the need for spiritual nurturing come to us in a flash of insight accompanied by a feeling of urgency? Or is personal awakening something that creeps up on a person, slowly growing to emerge into full bloom when signs of awakening appear?

Signs of Personal Spiritual Awakening

Moments of awakening are almost always triggered by a small crisis. Random thoughts that crystallise from some experience could be telling you something you need to know. When you are ready, these insights will send you signals of an impending awakening to an awareness of another aspect of yourself. Every situation, even heartbreak, can teach us about ourselves

When the signs of awakening begin

1. You will discover that many things you were once ignorant or sceptical of, now come to you like rain from heaven

2.For some, the signs of awakening may express themselves in the books they start to read, the programmes they start to watch on television

4. Spiritual awakening comes in a million different ways. The Buddha taught 84, 000 different ways to achieve spiritual awakening. A falling leaf can set you thinking, a dream, lying in the sunshine, sitting by the sea, climbing a mountain, cooking a meal, praying in a church, visiting a holy place - anything and everything contains the spark of the divine waiting to ripen and to miraculously unfold in the presence of the person with the right affinity, the same frequency

Words of Caution

It is important to stay open to the signs when they do come, but it is not necessary to rush into anything that seems spiritual. Do not be too eager to let someone else take charge of your spirit and be very wary of symbolically embracing every holy man that comes along

2. It is always POSITIVE, never negative

3. It NEVER ADVOCATES VIOLENCE or KILLING for whatever reason

4. It VALUES LIFE & LIVING as the most precious gift we have

5. Genuine Spiritual Masters NEVER TELL you, directly or indirectly explicitly or implicity, how special they are, how much 'magic' they can perform, how they can save your Soul, how they can cure you.They never make any claims to their own Spiritualit,.let alone Divinity

True Spirituality

1. True Spirituality is beyond religion - but does accepts and honours all despite the fact that a lot of religions have moved far from the pure message of Spirit

2. True Spirituality looks at the Mountain and sees that every Path up to 'Source' is right for the person climbing it

3. Even pain and disease, even hurt and disaster are pathways.The pain, the disease, the hurt, the disaster are often the challenges which turns people to Spirit. The deepest despair is often the pit from which people call out to Spirit for Help

4. True Spirituality never tries to control, constrict or disempower others. Some may say 'You will only reach the mountain top if you do it this way' or some may even refuse to help someone out of a situation unless the person follows their path. This is control, manipulation, narrowmindedness and lack of compassion. A truly Spiritual person will trust others to find their own way to the top of the mountain and will assist impartially.If someone wants to move to a different path, and enlightened being will wish them well and encourage others to think for themselves, to liste to 'inner guidance' and to be independant. They will empower everyone to speak directly to 'Source / God or Beings of Higher Wisdom'.Angels of 'Light' will help anyone climbing any path up that mountain.All are equal and if some are slithering downwards, they will still stand by without judgement to help where they can

5. If anyone tries to restrict or imprison another in the name of the 'Light', they do a terrible disservice to the people, the Planet and the Universe

6. To promote ignorance keeps the 'Light' from people. Those who knowingly conceal the truth or distort it on the pretext that the masses are not ready to hear it, does not serve the 'Light'. It is said that throughout history, sacred and esoteric texts have been hidden away or destroyed, to keep people ignorant and in the dark

It is said that in AD 553 at the Second Council of Constantinople, the Emperor Justinian had 'reincarnation' written out of the Bible. He and the church wanted to claim power over people's souls. When the truth is revealed, each one of us will know that our every action is recorded your by Guardian Angel in the Akashic Records and that we can take charge of our destiny

7. True Spirituality does not tell people what to do and what to believe, it does not preach hellfire and damnation, rather it reminds people to listen for their 'Inner Guidance' and to follow their hearts

8. It leaves people free, reminding us only of the Highest Qualities like harmlessness, joy, love, compassion, integrity, brotherhood, sisterhood, peace and oneness. Even saying these words ignites a light within us

9. It's good to use discernment , but to discriminate against someone

on grounds of their physical appearance (attractive or not/ fat or thin/ tall or short)

age (young or old)

sex (male or female)

colour (race or language)

religion (or belief)

wealth (poor /rich /spititual awareness / educated or not)

is not Spiritual
