Reincarnation & Past Lives

'Every incarnation that we remember must increase our comprehension of ourselves as we are

The immediate source of a body is that of its parents. But physical matter cannot produce mind, nor mind matter. The immediate source of a mind must, therfore, be a mind which existed before the conception took place, the mind must have a continuity from a previous mind. This we hold to prove the existence of a past life'

Layers of Mental obscuration must be removed - before the personal investigator of Past Lives gives the slightest consideration to actually probing for memories of earlier incarnations

Through hypnosis or deep meditation, attention must be withdrawn from all compelling distractions, internal as well as external, and turned over to contemplation of the eternal backdrop.Only then, can the mind, calm, unencumbered and receptive - be plumbed for its treasure trove of recollection

It is not easy

The emotions of each new birth, compounded by the cares, worries and distractions of the present moment, screen the self from mind-images or former lives. That which is coarser and nearest will always blot out the finer and more remote

To surpass the consciousness of everyday living, to discard temporarily the normal way of perceiving and coping with the world, goes against all societal conditioning and requires the utmost persistence

Much like the research for gold, the trail that leads to the awakening of Past-Life memory usually zigzags over exacting terrain which much be negotiated tirelessly if the priceless vein, hitherto existing only at the suggestion of a stranger, is to be found and excavated

Needed all at once, are the ability to relax, the power of concentration, the will to proceed and the patience to wait for result

PAST LIFE REGRESSION (PLR)

Regression techniques have been successfully used by hynotherapists for decades to assist clients to retrieve detailed memory from their current life events

This is helpful when details from the past are needed but cannot be accessed by the conscious mind

In exceptional cases, hypnotherapy regression techniques are also used to unblock Amnesia

A Past Life Regression is essentially an extension of Age Regression - e.g. regressing to a childhood experience, whereby the client is guided to the retrieval of their memories from from previous lifetimes

Past Life Regression can happen spontaneously during an age regression, which was the case for Michael Newton PhD & Dr. Brain Weiss, both internationally highly acclaimed authors and professionals who literally stumbled across Past Live Regression - while using traditionally therapeutic hypnotherapy for clients It is now commonly understood that all of our memories, including those of Past Lives - are stored in a part of the mind that is not freely available to the active conscious mind

THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

The subconscious and super conscious minds are aspects of the mind that are generally only accessible during deeply relaxed states.Although therapists may use different terms and argue over the semantics, it is generally understood that the subconscious mind holds detailed, even photographic records of our ENTIRE CURRENT LIFE EXPERIENCE - from the womb to present

THE SUPER CONSCIOUS MIND

The super conscious mind is the term to that part of the mind that holds the detailed memories of the soul, including records from before, this physical incarnation. Both the subconscious and superconscious cannot be easily accessed by the conscious mind.Although many methods and modalities have reported success is in being used to retrieve Past Life Memories, by far the most reliable and well documented are those that use hypnotherapy

WHAT IS LIFE-BETWEEN-LIFE (LBL) ?

Life-between Lives or Spiritual Regression - is the next step after Past Live Regression

A Past Life Regression offers flashes, story sequences and information from memories of other lifetimes, which sometimes includes the death scene of a Previous Life

Typically, the death scene is consistenlty experienced as the leaving of the body, often felt as a floating upwards above the body, an then, inevitable, the departure of the soul from the Physical Life towards The Light or Home of the Spirit

In most Past Live Regression, the memory of what happens after the death is brief, containing some detail of the soul's encounter with benevolent beings, sometimes an overview of the life lived. but most regressions of this kind do not offer much about the Life of the soul in-between Lives.Rather, the client's mind tends to flash to another incarnation's memory.Glimpses of the afterlife are scattered and brief

MICHAEL NEWTON PhD (USA)

The work of Michael Newton PhD (USA) has pioneered a new field of Regression Hypnotherapy.Retired and now in his 70s, he literally spend 30 years of his career as a hypnotherapist doing Life -between-Life Regressions - documented in his books Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls

Michael Newton's International non-profit organisation TNI - THE MICHAEL NEWTON INSTITUTE FOR LIFE-BETWEEN-LIVES HYPNOTHERAPY - now trains hypnotherapists from around the world to do professional LBL work

WHAT IS LBL ?

Life Between Lives (LBL) - is also known as Spiritual Regression

A LBL Regression is an extension of a Past Life Regression

Where the client is facilitated to sufficient trance depth - to access their memories of being a soul, between physical lifetimes. The trance depth needed for LBL work is much deeper than that needed for Past Life Recall

BETA STATES

IS OUR WAKING ALERT STATE

Our waking alert state of consciousness is called a 'beta state' - named after the dominant brain waves, prevalent during alert wakefulness

ALPHA STATE

CAN BE ACCESSED BY RELAXING BODY & MIND

Just under the Beta state is the 'Alhpa state' which can be accessed by relaxing the body and mind

A Shallow Alpha State is a relaxed state where intuition, creativity and memory recall are greatly enhanced - Some people get spontaneous Past Life Recall from a Shallow Alpha state

Others need a Deeper Alpha State to gain Past Live Memory

Trance States are natural parts of our daily life not to be feared or misunderstood. It is simply a deeply relaxed state of being, with focussed awareness, where the conscious and superconscious can be accessed. You go into an Alpha State when you are bored,on your way to sleep, during parts of your sleep and dream cycles every night, when you are doing a receptive task, etc

THETA STATE

IS REQUIRED FOR SOLID LIFE BETWEEN LIVES STATES (LBL)

Just under Alpha is the Theta State.

According to Newton, solid Life-Between-Lives (LBL) - requires a Theta State

After doing thousands of LBLs for clients from a very broad spectrum of cultural & religious backgrounds - Newton found consistent information about the structure, nature and functions of :

1.Souls 2.Spirit World 3.Soul Groups 4.Soul Mate 5.Spirit Guides 6.The Spirit World 7.Soul Rejuventaion 8. Soul Recreation 9.Soul Learning 10.Soul Specialisation Interests & Work 11.Body Selection 12.The Integration of Soul Consciousness into the Fetus

THE NEWTON METHOD OF LBL

A professional LBL is at least 3 1/2 hours to 5 hours in lenght

The Newton method of LBL is structred as follows:

A classical hypnotherapy 'trance' induction

Extensive trance deepening

Current Life Age Regression to warm up the retrieval of memory

Womb Regression

Past Life Regression - using 'the Death Scene of a Past Life' to access the Soul State

Following the Soul from 'The Death Scene' through the gateway to the spirt world and exploring the Spirit World and Soul Relationships in detail

Also using the Spirit World with the accompanying Soul perspective as a powerful therapeutic tool to bringing the client into alignment with his/her immortal identity and purpose and integrating the client's Soul Identity and Soul Perspective to assist the client in their current life

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PAST LIFE REGRESSION (PLR) & LIFE BETWEEN LIVES REGRESSION (LBL)

PAST LIFE REGRESSION: A PLR explores your Past Physical Incarnations

LIFE BETWEEN LIVES: A LBL explores your immortal identity and spiritual heritage. The LBL requires a deeper trance and uses Past Life Death as an 'entry point' to the Soul's home & identity

HOW TO BEST TO PREPARE FOR A REGRESSION

1. Find a reputable Regression Therapist. It is a true bearing of one's soul, and therefore you should carefully select a therapist that you are comfortable with

2. Ask about their methodologies. Some Regressions use other methods like Reiki, Shamanic work, Body work, Psychic Readings etc. within the regression.Be sure that you are comfortable with this

3. If you want a Traditional LBL session, find someone who uses solid hypnotherapy as a basis

4. Make sure that you feel trust and rapport for the Therapist

5. Ask about the duration of the Regression, remembering that a good LBL is no shorter than three hours

6. Learn to spot your conscious mind and to work with its interference

7. Train your body to access Trance states

7. Start with your body to access Trance states

8. Start with small steps and work your way to a full LBL

BENEFITS OF REGRESSION THERAPY

Some would say it is better to leave 'the past alone' and that it is 'God's business'

While others feel a call from deep within to search fro an internally referenced, personal truth. They are not happy to accept surrogate truth, born of externals, born of beliefs. They want personal experiences, to make their own soul truth. For the seekers - LBL & PLR work is a valuable path to personal answers, personal wisdom and knowing rather than believing

Reconnecting with your SOUL PURPOSE and fully experiencing unconditional love, beyond mere concepts and beliefs, but as true knowing

An LBL provides a client with an opportunity to define with clear vision, ways to develop the intrinsic ethical qualities that exist at the heart of all humanistic wisdom

The major benefit of LBL work is the Spiritual integration of the Soul with the human body through professional hypnotherapy, therefore it is important to work with a professionally trainded TNI therapist

It goes without saying that PLR & LBL must be dealt with responsibily and with maturity

Occasionally a client is blocked from access to certain information that would interfere with their Life Choices and the Learning of their Current Lives. Many LBL therapists would agree that the LBL balances much of the potential confusion and disruption that a PLR might trigger

Sometimes memories of Past Lives alone, without the therapeutic value of the LBL soul perspective, guide input and general wisdom, can be haunting and limiting. E.g a client may remember a past live suicide, the trauma of this memory is greatly healed and put into therapeutic use when the soul perspective is gained in the LBL.By seeing the 'big picture' and mostly by feeling the unconditional love & acceptance of teachers and guides, the client's past life memory trauma is healed

In another example, seeing the Souls of loved ones and finding the connections of Soulmates in the Spirit World is clearer from the Soul perspective than from the Past Life Perpective

The Past Live Regression (PLR) - gives the perspective of another Physical Body, in Another Time, in Another Place

The Life Between Lives (LBL) or Spiritual Regression - gives the Immortal Aerial Perspective of All Lives

WHY IS THIS INFORMATION ALLOWED THROUGH ?

One of the most frequent asked question from clients is why this information from "The Other Side", is allowed through

Many LBL therapists will say - bases on what they experience during a session - that the Spiritual Teaching is conveyed because the Earth needs it to face the challenges born of overpopulation, drugs, crime and disillusionment

Think of PLR & LBL as opening a door, every inch open is valuable. You don't have only one shot at this, you can open the door to your subconscious and superconscious mind a little at a time to find the treasures of asking, seeking and digging for truth. The treasures you unearth, are a deeper and personal understanding of your immortal self, more integrated into your life and physical body

Then we earn the deepest truth, that the 'Light' that we seek to guide us through the darkness of earth's troubles is the 'Light' of our own Souls

REGRESSION TECHNIQUE

WITHOUT PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE

Caution

1. There are many variations on a basic theme and is carried out without a guide or helpmate and without the aid of hypnosis

2. Indispensable, however, are quiet surroundings and a strong desire to cross repeatedly the chasms that separate birth from death

3. Yet more is required of the individual than mere desire for knowledge of fast lives. Would-be that exploreres must have firmly decided they are willing to undertake - and ready to handle - this unpredictable quest

4. Caution. Refrain if you doctor has warned you to avoid excitement - do not turn to exploring your past lives as a soothing sedentary occupation

TRACKING BACKWARDS

Many names are given to the retrieval of Past-Life information e.g. Aleister Crowley the English mystic with the eccentric reputation - Magical Memory or

Buddhism

Pubbenivasanussatinana

Caution

Gautama Buddha himself, allthough he was said to have recalled 550 of his own past lives, didn't explain - just how he remembered his previous existences - Except to say that anyone who wished to do likewise -

01. Must be perfect in the precepts

02. Bring his emotions to a state of quiescence

03. Practice the trances, diligently

04. Attain to illumination and dwell in solitud

05. Buddha laid great stress on determination to succeed because 'if the mind be fixed on the acquirement of any object, that object will be attained

Buddhaghosha

Vishuddhi Marga - Path or Purity

A sage whose name means - the Voice of Buddha, gave more explicit instructions as to how past lives could be retrieved. In a passage from the Vishuddhi Marga or Path of Purity, he advises fellow Buddhists to

Caution

01. Meditate deeply on events which have just taken place

02. Then to recall them in reverse succession

03. Absorbed in after-breakfast meditation, when he has returned from collecting alms, the devotee would consider the event which last took place

04. Namely his sitting down

05. Next the spreading of the mat

06. Then the entering of the room

07. The putting away of bowl and robe

08. His eating

09. His leaving the village

10. His going the rounds of the village for alms

11. His entering the village

12.Thus must he consider all that he did for a whole day and night, going backwards over it in reverse order

13. Once a full day's rememberance has been achieved without any gaps or obscure episodes, says Buddhaghosha, the devotee should

14. Push back his memory, still in reverse order

15. To the day before

16. And the day before that

17. Ten days before a month

18. A year

19. Ten years

20. Twenty years and so on

21 Any broken links in the chain of memory must be repaired by plunging back into the trance of association

22. When memory has been retrieved uninterruptedly as far back as conception

23. The supreme challenge is to harness sufficient intensity of concentration to penetrate even further to a name and form at the moment of death in the previous life

24. Buddhaghosha is sympathetic to the extreme arduousness of this test, recognizing

25. That 'this point of time is like thick darkness and difficult to be made out by the mind of any person still deluded

26.Nevertheless,he urges a non-despairing outlook, calling upon the student to repeatedly fix his mind on the void which 'in no long time' will yield the desired knowledge

27. Once the previous existence has been retrieved, other existences will be easier to call to mind

Yoga

Yoga has been defined as 'the cessation of agitation of the consciouness and is accordingly, a perfect vehicle for the generation of Past-Life Memory.Ironically, Hindu belief in reincarnation is one reason why many natives of India shun yogi practices.Firmly assured of future lives, they consciously postpone personal striving for perfection to another lifetime. But that neither negates nor alters the aim of yoga (stemming from the Sanskrit word yuj - meaning union) which is to awaken cosmic consciousness at the earliest opportunity and so to leap clear of the dreaded wheel of rebirth.Remembering past lives is part of the overall process. The indeterminably ancient sutras of Patanjali, the earliest yogic texts, point out that all experiences of previous births remains in 'chitta' - the subconscious mind. This experience can be recovered at will by the advanced spiritual aspirant through 'samyama' - the rapt absorption of thought waves.'Concentration on the impressions of the past - know past lives'

Rudolf Steiner

He said the same thing in a different way when he replied

'The entrance to the path is opened by right meditation'

More explicitly, Steiner recommended that those wishing to recover memories of pre-existence enlist the help of an imaginary detachable double every time something seems to happen by chance.Suppose a tile falls from a roof and injures a peron's shoulders.Rather than blame this injury on bad luck, the person should visualize an imaginary man or woman who climbs onto the roof in question, loosens a tile and quickly returns to ground level so that the dislodged tile may fall on his / her shoulders.Rather than blame this injury on bad luck, the person should visualize an imaginary man or woman who climbs onto the roof in question, loosens a tile and quickly returns to ground level so that the dislodged tile may fall on his/ her shoulders. Steiner said that this exercise of seeing ourselves deliberately bringing about events that may appear to happen by accident 'can ultimately promote in every human being a kind of certainty of having existed in an earlier life - certainty through having engendred a feeling of inner impressions which he knows were most definitely not received in this life

Aleister Crowly

For Aleister, a frequent dam in the river of Past-Life memory was the suppression of painful episodes, primarily death experiences, by the subconscious 'One instinctively flinches from remembering one's last, as one does from imagining one's next, death' he wrote. But if hte 'tricks of the trade' were practised diligently, even ' Freudian forgetfulness' could be conquered so as to liberate the full lood of Magical memory.Crowley's backward-looking Past-Life exercise bear more than a passing resemblance to the Buddhist technique expounded some 2,500 years earlier.First of all, he urged would-be adepts to learn to write backwards with either hand, to walk backwards, to speak backwards and to read backwards. He then invoked the Buddhaghosha method of recalling events in reverse order

Crowley suggested that a regresssion of five minutes must be perfected before extending the backward run to a day and eventually a lifetime. The extension from a day to the course of his whole life will not prove so difficult as the perfecting of the five minutes

Practise which in time becomes almost mechanical, should be carried out at least four times a day.Only when the mind has been allowed to return to one hundred times to the hour of birth, should it be encouraged to run back even further, and that's when the Magical Memory, with any luck, starts to unfold. Crowley cautions all to cross-check with historical and geographical fact the contents of these apparently preincarnate recollections 'always reflecting upon the fallibility even of such safeguards' But there's another test for the real thing

Genuine recollections almost invariably explain oneself to oneself. e.g that you feel an instinctive aversion to some particular kind of wine.Trya as you will, you can find no reason for your idiosyncracy.Suppose then, that when you explore some previous incarnation, you remember that you died by a poison administered in a wine of that character, your aversion is explained by the proverb 'a burnt child dreads the fire'

Clock Face Technique

Caution

Mercifully, the act of sustained mental retrogression is not the only way to contact past lives without undergoing hypnosis. There is a technique for visualizing a clock face in order to 'think away' the dial and bring on a trance state that carries the investigator back through time and space. Not so difficult as back-pedaling the memory to past lives, the following exercise still makes huge demands

01. To begin, select a clock face which can be watched quietly and without interruption

02. Note the size and every single detail that it encloses, the outline of the numerals, the shape of the hands, the manufacturer's name, the layout and ornamentation

03. Concentrate on assimilating a complete picture of the clock face and,

04. After five minutes, close your eyes and try to recall precisely what you have been looking at

05. Only when the dial has been reproduced in the mind's eye with perfect clarity should the dismantling process begin

06. First, imagine the minute hand has been removed so that the dial is complete in every detail but for its single-handedness

07. Next, think away, the hour hand

08. Then remove the ornamentation and the maker's name

09. Acutely aware that time itself is being thought into nonexistence, you similarly despatch the numerals

10. You are now confronted with a blank clock face which must be seen to become smaller and smaller until it dissappears completely

11. All the while, you are thinking ' Time is flowing backwards'. Now all that remains is the clock's support

12. When this has been imagined into extinction the last link with time has been removed and the resulting trance state carries you back into another life

As uncomplicated as this method may sound, immediate success is highly improbable.A few weeks of diligent practice can bring results to the willful and the persevering, but there are those who proceed with this excersise in vain

Crystal Ball

By gazing intently into a crystal ball or goldfish bowl filled with water, a road of living memory can be thought into existence, a road leading from the self into the deepest heart of the crystal.Tibetans employ this method with black crystalline stone found in mountain streams while, in

India

Locals use a small bowl or saucer - even cupped hands - filled with ink.Once a strong psychic link has been established between the investigator and the object of concentration, time slowly recedes, rolling backwards through the present life before leaping into past incarnations. The procedure has an inbuilt speed of its own and will not be hurried.Initially, no more than twenty minutes or half and hour should be spent on this exercise, to be repeaded not more than once a day until results become decisive. The earliest superphysical phenomenon is often a clouding of the crystal's surface with thin blue haze, which may extend above the sphere and hover over it like a patch of mist.Once this appearacne is seen, it is only a matter of patience before the cloud in front of the crystal's face parts or dispereses giving place to a picture

Archetypal Symbol

Can be used as the object of concentration, a symbol such as an eye, circle, sun, cross, triangle or perhaps, one of the numbers from one to ten.Acting as a mind-sensitizer, the chosen symbol - visualization can be aided by a drawing) will become a channel for the drawing of energy from the deep unconscious and the inner eye will be swept by flashes of scenes from past lives. Each passing fragment constitutes a potential clue and the investigator is advised to jot down each one in the hope that a pattern will emerge of one or more former lives

Dreams

The annotation and analysis of dreams can also awaken deep memory. The individual's dream record tend to hover around a few central thoughts and incidents - pointers to deeply felt experiences of hte past which have contributed greatly to the character and personality of the present. To dream is to travel beyond time, and to travel beyond time is to swirl through a maelstrom of hints and impressions that may reveal who we are, where we've been and where we are going.Making sense of this fourth dimensional bombardment is another matter altogether

Collin Bennet

Colin Bennet recommends that prolonged study of personal dream records be followed by laying back, closing the eyes, relaxing all muscles and allowing the mind to become as blank as possible.'Out of the resulting state of semiconsciousness' he says, 'the sough-after truth appears as though it were an incident acted upon a stage or seen in a moving picture

Rosicrucian Order

Rosicrucian Order With 250, 000 members in more than 180 counties, has preserved and developed more than eighty different types of exercises for the restoration of past-life memory. The underlying motive of these mental work-outs is that of the Rosicrucian movement itself - to awaken cosmic consciousness in the individual.Taking various approaches to meditation and guided visualization, the exercises are directed at answering the question : How can I be more effective, more creative and more whole today? Rosicrucians, stress that the value of the reincarantional experience is determined by its usefulness during this lifetime 'The most important point to remember, they noted is that at the individual level, reincarnation becomes not a question of proof or faith but of personal experiences that give meaning and dimension to our present life

Akashic Records

Edgar Cayce

Akashic Records Seers & Occultists have long talked about the Akashic Records as the indelible impressions left upon the etheric substance of the Universe by everything that has ever happened. In 1931, Edgar Cayce, described a typical out-of-body journey which gave him access to his warehouse in the sky. 'I entered this temple and found in it a very large room, very much like a library. Here were books of people's lives, for each person's activities were a matter of actual record, it seemed. And I merely had to pull down the record of the individual for whom I was seeking information.Far from being the sole preserve of great mystics, these Akashic Records - which Cayce saide were to the mental world as the cinema is to the phyical world - are open for inspection by anyone who is able to travel to the Astral Plane

J.H.Brennan

J.H.Brennan Says that by an act of imagination it is possible for the individual to create an Astral Shell capable of interacting with the Akashic Records. He suggested flexing the imagination with a walk towards Cayce's library, visualizing the scene for no more than 10 minutes daily for the first two weeks and thereafter - at least until complete identification is achieved, for no longer than 15min.The investigator's patience will be sorely tried as he is asked to do the following

Caution

01. For the first week, after relaxing the mind with closed eyes, visualize walking down a corridor towards a door

02. Clarify and add to the picture each day until the corridor takes on absolute familiarity

03. No earlier than a week later, when the corridor is as vivid as it can possibly be -

04. Picture the door and entering a massive library

05. Spend at least two weeks, preferably longer, building up minute detail of this library

06. Note the multitude of sections, the billlions of volumes on the shelves, the vast space involved. For in this collection is recorded every detail on every person who has ever lived

07. Attempt no short cuts, they will only ruin the project.Every possible detail must be assimilated before the vision is completed

08.When this happens, keep building and re-examining the picture for another week

09.Then walk and re-examining the picture for another week

10.Then walk to the section of the library which houses your life history and search the shelves for the volume that bears YOUR NAME

11. Withdraw the bood and read your reincarnation history

12. Before acceptance, cross-check all the resulting information - some of it visualized, some arising in picture-image form, with known facts

Alice Bailey

Akashic exploration may not always be so straightforward - Occultist Alice Bailey, warned that fleeting glimpses of the Akashic Film don't necessarily pertian to the viewer as much as the viewer would like to think they do. She wrote 'This is not the case, any more than the people and activities his own relatives, friends and pursuits'. Certainly only the most vigorous visualizations can bring results. And even results are suspect until proven sound

The Christos Experience

Retaining visualization as the primary technique, it is possible, some would say preferable, to explore Past Lives with the help of others. The Christos Experience, in which a person's ankles and 'third eye-brow chakra' area are massaged simultaneously to induce lucid, conscious 'dreaming' has carried its subjects into the wildest terrain for the most exotic experiences

Writer Garry Glaskin

Glaskin, who has championed this technique - which he found in an obscure West Australian magazine in 1971, confessed to being 'shattered' by his first Christos Voyage. He wrote in 'A Door to Eternity'

'Prior to his experience, I had not even considered, let alone been convinced of, the possibility of Previous Lives or Reincarnation. My religious upbringing had denied it completely. But now, nevertheless, I could clearly see 'myself' with dark skin, long thin limbs and a body well over 6feet tall with long and very different features to myself , a man, moreover, in his thirties, instead of almost fifty as I was then.'I' was dressed in a garment and headband that I could only conjecture to be Egyptian

In another Christos Journey, Glaskin saw himself as a primitive being on the run from other savages. One woman experimenter described being in the body of an albatross - gliding over cold southern oceans. And, so if to show the method can conjure up future visions too, a man who had described a small village surrounded by mountains, later returnded from his honeymoon in Norway to reveal that he had visited the exact scene encountered during his Christos experience

Method - Christos Experience

Caution

01. Subject to take off their shoes

02. Let the subject lie down on the floor

03. Subject must be relaxed

04. Place a cushion under the subject's head

05. One helper must massage the subject's ankles for two-three minutes to aid relaxation

06. The other - usually the 'Christos-guide' massages the 'Third-Eye-Brow Chakra'

07. This massaging is done vigorously with the edge of the curved hand and should continue until the subject's head is buzzing

08. Ask the subject - who is now encouraged to talk so thathe will later feel at ease in describing the experience - to visualize himself growing 2 inces longer through the bottoms of his feet

09.Once the subject has stretched, ask him to return his feet to their normal position

10.The process is repeated, but this time the subject is asked to grow longer through his head

11. Return to the feet, asking to visualize a 12inch stretch

12.Repeat the process through the head - and return

13.Back to the feet for a 24inch stretch. This time the subject must hold the stretch while extending the same distance through the head

14.Once extended 4 feet, he should feel himself expanding like a balloon

15. Ask the subject to use his expanded consciouness to describe fully his own front door and its surroundings - including what he is standing on and what is above him when he looks up

16. Next, ask him to imagine he is standing on top of his roof and to describe the scene below

17. Now tell him to rise about 500yards and to keep describing all he sees

18. He should turn slowly, in a complete circle, relating all

19. Ask him what time it is and elicit a description of the weather conditions

20. Get him to change the scene from day to night and back to day again and ask him to compare both scenes

21. Now give him an assurance of safety, ask who is changing daylight to darkness. It is very important that he realizes that he has control over whatever he sees

22. Now for the experience which could yield a Past Life.Tell the subject to keep the picture in bright sunlight so that he can see where he lands

23. Ask him for a description of his feet (bare of wiht shoes?),the ground he is standing on,the people and events around him,his clothes, his features etc.

24.Keep pressing for more and more details

25.Watch the eyelids for rapid eye and eye-muscle movements - the faster the flicker, the more successful are the subject's visions

26.Follow up his answers with pertinent questions

27.Let the visit take its course - until the subject wishes to return to the present. He is not in a trance and should, if asked, be able to identify local sounds while experienceing the events of a different time frame

28.Although the full procedure is likely to take an hour or more, the subject will probably think he has been traveling for only a quater of the time

Bryan Jameison

Visualization is given another twist by Jameison's 'montage time-lap' method - in which light swithches, placed strategically on the body, are turned off one by one before a make-believe elevator carries the subject to the threshold of a Past-Life Experience. The average, first time subject takes only 8minutes to reach an Altered State of Consciousness 'Doing a time-lap regression is amazingly easy.It doesn't involve the use of drugs, a deep hypnotic trance, arduous meditation,hocus-pocus or any mysterious rite.It is as easy as playingtic-tac-toe

Montage Time-lap Method

Caution

01. Choose a very dimly lit room without any distraction

02. Ask the subject to lie down

03. Close eyes

04. Take 5 deep breaths

05. Instruct the subject to visualise common wall light switches at the key body points

06. and to turn them off in the following order, right foot, right knee, right hip, left foot, left knee, left hip, back of right hand, right elbow, right shoulder, back of left hand, left elbow, left shoulder, top of the head,mid-forehead,base of the spine, back of the neck

07. Once the subject has visualized an elevator

08. Ask him to approach it, push the call button and on its arrival to step inside and face the front.Guided by his superconscious, he should then select a floor most conducive to the reliving of a Past-Life, and describe what he sees when the elevator stops and the door opens

09. P.S. If the subject sees a life scene on leaving the elevator, ask him to check whether he's in a former body.If clouds are seen instead of hallway, ask him to move into the clouds and go back in time to the first important Earth Life.Should this happen, disregard the next step

10. If the subject sees a hallway or tunnel, ask him to move to the end of the passage, describing his progress. Then ask him to locate and move through a door leading from the passageway and to report waht he sees on the other side

11. If his's confronted with a scene from a Past-Life,check to seek whether he's in a body. This being so, he should breathe deeply and relax in his new surroundings

12. Question the subject as to identity, age, race and ability to use his senses3

13. Ask him to go back in time to the age of fifteen

14. and move him slowly through that life, hitting as many major events as possible

15. Allow him to experience death and to review the life as a whole

16. Inquire about the possibility of people prominent in that life having bearing on the present existence

17. P.S. Should the subject start to relive a particularly exciting or traumatic episode, he will begin breathing heavily. If this happens, ask him to leave the body temporarily or move him forward to a more peaceful period

18. Invite the subject to return to the first Earth Life relevant to that of today

19. And repeat the life-death cycle.Bring him forward in stages of 25,50 or 100 years, granting the opportunity of experiencing as many lives as possible

Personal Experience

As overwhelming as intellectual conviction might be, nothing convinces quite like the emotional jolt of personal experience. That's why the investigation of Past Lives is worth pursuing: the plausible stands to be transformed into the tangible, unifying the head with the heart. The finest results, however, cannot be won through mere technique.A new way of being is called for in which the horizons op perception are rolled back in all directions

In The Memory of Past Births Charles Johnston, a retired member of the Bengal Civil Service, wrote in 1899 it is only in proportion as we inherit our immortality, and consciously rise above the barriers of time, that we can possibly inherit the memory of our past'

A past, moreover, that can help dissolve some of the perplexity of the present, for everything that we are - has its roots in bygone Reincarnations

Unconsciously, we are aggregate of all our lives

In striving to make the unconscious conscious, in demanding to know, lies the thrill and the reward of the personal investigation of Past-Life-Memory.At times, the evidence may be hard to come by and even harder to interpret. But in the words of Aleister Crowly 'Anything which throws light upon the Universe, anything which reveals us to ourselves, should be welcome in this world of riddles'
