Jung, Carl Gusttav (1875-1961): Swiss Psychiatrist.Carl Jung was born in Kesswil, Switzerland in 1875.His father was a minister of religion, a fact which had substantial influence on Jung's own intellectual development.He studied medicine at Basle and Paris and worked for several years with the founder of modern Psychology, Sigmund Freud, who for a time, considered him his most likely intellectual successor. He began his career as a follower of Sigmund Freud, but split with him after challenging his concentration on sex. But it was not just the sexual doctrine which Jung cast aside.
