It is said that there are 7 Major Chakras and 21 Minor (Secondary) Chakras

The Minor Chakras could be described as the Subtle Energy 'Defenders' of the body whereas the Major Chakras are the body's - Initiators or 'Guardians'

The Minor Chakras are associated with the following body areas

One on the side of each foot

One behind each Knee

One for each Gonad Two for the Spleen

One for the Stomach

One near the Liver

One in the palm of each Hand

One on each Breast

One on each Clavicle

One behind each Eye

One on each Temple

One near the Thymus Gland

The Alta Major Chakra

The Alta Major Chakra is situated at the Base of the Back of the Skull

and is concerned with Memory traces and Survival patterns inherited from our prehistoric ancestors

Thymus Chakra

The Thymus Chakra is one of the minor Chakra

but it is also important in its own right as an emerging energy center

with specialized ability to combat attack by environmental pollutants and invading viruses

It resonant colour is Pale Pink or Pale Blue or Lavender
