Make your own Astral Doorway Tattwa Cards

To use the Tattwas,you will need to make special Tattwa cards

Use squares of white cardboard sufficiently large to allow a symbol - two to two-and-a-half inches in height

Leave the back of the cards blank and white

Now paint the next symbols on each card

Earth - Square Shape - Yellow colour

Air - Circular Shape - Blue colour

Fire - Triangular Shape - Red colour

Water - Crescent Shape - Silver colour

Ether - Oval Shape - Black or Indigo colour

*The Ether card symbol should be coloured black or indigo - not both*

In each case,the colour should be strong,brilliant as possible

When you have made your symbol cards

Cover them with transparent artist's film or give them a coat of clear gloss varnish to enhance the colours and preserve the symbols

There are two ways to use the cards

1. One involves holding a specific card to your forehead and allowing images to rise in your visual imagination,a technique mentioned by W.B.Yeats in his biography

2. The technique in useing the cards to trigger projection is more complicated

Find a quiet spot and a comfortabel chair

Select your symbol card,sit back and relax as deeply as possible

Gaze intently at the coloued symbol for about half a minute,then turn the cared over and gaze at its blank side

As you do so an optical reflex will cause the symbol to appear on the back of the card in the complementary colours of the original

Once you have seen your complementary-coloured symbol,close your eyes and interiorize it

What you are trying to do is visualize what you have just seen - but the visualization works best if you imagine yourself drawing in the glowing symbol until it is established inside your head

At this point,you should mentally enlarge the symbol until it is big enough for you to pass through

Then imagine yourself stepping through the enlarge symbol as if it were an actual door

Once you have reaced this stage -you should strongly imagine the doorway behind you,hanging luminous in the air

Then look around and take note of your surroundings
